Young Thug's Slime Season 3 has been in the works for a while, originally scheduled to drop in February before it was replaced with the short but impressive collection of records, I'm Up. Yesterday, the proper SS3 arrived, and while it's a compact release similar to I'm Up, the songs work together in a way that we've come to expect from the Slime projects.
"Drippin" is one of the immediate highlights from the project, based on Thug's unpredictable but always incredibly precise vocal performance. Never settling on a proper hook, Thugger jumps from nimble stacatto stabs, to ascending screeches, to aggressive barks, each technique leading seamlessly into the next, further cementing Thug as one of rap's most exhilarating vocalists.
