Although XXXTENTACION has passed, his legacy is carried on through his music. The impact that his music had on his fans has been evident, especially since his murder in June. Within a short amount of time, XXXTENTACION put out a heap of music and had more than he was ready to release. In a few days, his debut album 17 will mark one year since its release. Before it reaches it's one year anniversary, it's been revealed that it's been certified platinum.

The RIAA has officially certified XXXTENTACION's debut album 17 platinum. The album reached the certification only a few days before the album reaches its one year anniversary.

While the project has gone platinum, X's team has more in store for it. Yesterday, it was revealed that the album will be getting a physical release on its one year anniversary. The physical copies will be launched along with limited edition anniversary merch.

X's 17 gained support from both his peers and critics after it was released. Kendrick Lamar was among several artists in the game that showed support for the project even amid the controversy that surrounded X's name at the time.

Interestingly enough, the platinum certification of 17 comes shortly after it was announced that X's sophomore release, was also certified platinum. In addition, the rapper's single "SAD!" went multi-platinum since his passing.
