Mikey Alford and his Illegal Civilization crew are technically a skate brand, but they’ve been branching out lately. After creating a documentary for Tyler, The Creator’s most recent album Cherry Bomb, they have enlisted Mac Miller for their next film. Check out a teaser below.
Although the film has no name and no dialogue is spoken in the teaser, we immediately get a sense that it will be tinged with horror (or at least thriller) elements. Mac Miller stumbles around in a lounge suit and sunglasses while high-tension strings play in the background. Illegal Civilization skaters Ryder McLaughlin and Todd Short will also appear in the film.
Illegal Civilization is premiering the short in New York City next week, which you can get tickets for here if you’re in the area. A wider release will follow in April. Do y’all think Mac Miller will make a good actor?
