Rush Hour, Remy Ma, and the Brooklyn rapper's musical family are among the other topics addressed.

Nardwuar always comes out of SXSW with a handful of interviews, and the first of the bunch is with the always-animated Brooklyn rapper Desiigner. Nard doesn't waste any time with blowing the GOOD Music signee's mind, gifting him with a vinyl 45 from the rapper's grandfather, a blues singer and guitarist who went by Guitar Crusher. It's also pointed out that Desiigner and his grandfather shared a name, Sidney Selby (the rapper being Sidney Selby III).

At 5:38, Nardwuar asks Desiigner to demonstrate some of his signature "sounds," otherwise known as the ad-libs he uses both in his music and everyday conversation. Of course, he's happy to do a run-through of some of his favorites.

After gifts including Rush Hour 2, Remy Ma and Lil Kim Vinyl, the latter two being for the rapper's manager Zana Ray.

Later on, Desiigner was asked about the two flights he took with Kanye West early on in his career. "Kanye, he's a trip," he said. "First I was going to the studio, then I was on my way to the airport. It was crazy - just the feeling, just the adrenaline. Just me and Kanye in his Ghost - in front of TMZ! It was crazy, L.A. Baby!"

However, the hit-making rapper suggested that the most important moments he's had with West came with making music. "In the studio many times with Kanye," he said. "That's when it gets even more crazy. When you're in the studio, and you hear a record, and I'm about to jump on... with Kanye!"

Turns out, Desiigner's mom was just as excited as her son to hear he was working with Ye. "My mom texted me, she was shocked," he revealed. She didn't believe it was him."
