Tyga drops the video for his latest single "My Way."
Tyga's been making a solid comeback in the rap game this year. While he never left, it seems that over the past few years, his association to the Kardashian/Jenner clan overshadowed his career as a rapper. However, he finally cut loose from his deal with Cash Money and has since been doing things at his own accord. In July, he dropped his fifth studio album BitchImTheShit2 which was laced with some pretty solid features through out. He recently dropped the single "My Way" and now, he releases the video for it.
Tyga's looking real happy in the video for "My Way." After dropping his last studio album, Tyga's been spending some time on the road and used the opportunity to catch some candid footage to piece together for this video. The video consists of shots of Tyga performing on stage to clips of his fans wildin' out. That footage is cut with some other lifestyle shots of him in the studio to him enjoying life on a boat. "My Way" seems like it's Tyga's way of showing that despite everything that hasn't been going his way, it's finally starting to turn around.
Tyga chose to drop the video at an appropriate time. Earlier today, Tyga and his former management company, C&J management, reached a settlement in their recent lawsuit. Tyga was sued for $4 million after firing the management team in 2013. They claimed that they helped turn Tyga from an unknown artist to a global superstar. They also claimed that they were the ones who introduced Tyga to Birdman. C&J Management and Tyga have now agreed upon a $1.5 million settlement, an amount that he'll be able to pay over the course of the next two years. Nonetheless, it seems like he's finally veering down a smoother path with his music career right now.
