Just in pure terms of their respective vocal deliveries, Trae Tha Truth and Young Thug are two vastly different artists. Thugger is well-known for his tendency to push his voice to its highest-pitched reaches and experiment with unorthodox flow patterns, while Trae is like a stocky running back with his low center of gravity and workhorse, rapid-fire lyrics.
When they team up though, we're left with a duo that covers each others' weaknesses and accentuates the strong points (somewhat similar to Thugger's many collaborations with the also-baritone OG Boo Dirty). The pairing worked magic on "Baby," and now "Try Me" equals, if not tops, its greatness.
