Maxwell Lund of Morton, Minnesota is the winner of the 2017 Pensole World Sneaker Championship, outlasting 64 other finalists in a bracket-style competition. This Saturday, Foot Locker will be releasing his shoes at select stores across the globe.
Lund’s design was created in Portugal by Portugal Footwear, featruing For Ever molded EVA outsole, three different grades of pristine Portugal leather, lasered signature of the winning designer on top of the pull tab, and the World Sneaker Championship logo on the heel as well as metal lace tips.
Each of these special edition shoes will be numbered on the back of the tongue, and housed in a box that includes straps so that it can be turned into a backpack.
