When XXXTentacion was murdered on June 18th, 2018, many fans were left reeling from the loss. While X's music touched the lives of many, Ski Mask The Slump God shared a real-life connection with the late rapper. The pair was one of the definitive second-generation bromances, having spent the majority of their come-up as a tandem; whether they were working on Members Only material, or holding it down for memorable joint interviews, X and Ski were nigh inseparable.

Though they eventually found themselves immersed in a public conflict, it didn't take long for the friends to bury any potential hatchets, coming to an amicable reunion during a Rolling Loud performance. Now, a little over five months since X's passing, Ski Mask has taken to Instagram to mourn his fallen friend. "5 Fucking Months, I Still And Will Never Comprehend How To Cope," writes The Slump God, in a heartfelt eulogy. "Cant Be Thankful Enough For You Still Being There With Me Always."

Our thoughts go out to Ski, and we hope the young rapper can find the peace he seeks.
