HBO has revealed its official trailer for the upcoming thriller starring famed actress Amy Adams. Sharp Objects follows Camille Preaker (played by Amy) who heads back to her small hometown in Missouri to investigate a tragic murder of two little girls. Camille is dealing with mental issues of her own and before she took the case, she was hospitalized for cutting herself because she was seeing words on her skin.
The trailer shows some of the dark moments during Camille's efforts to solve the case, and even sees her literally toying with Sharp Objects. A little girl whispers “It’s not safe for you here” at the same time ghosts are talked about. Aside from Amy's acting skills, this series deserves some attention since it's based on the book by Gillian Flynn who also wrote Gone Girl. The series will also have the same producer as Get Out.
