In hosting his first annual Ovo (October's Very Own) Festival, Drake pulled out all the stops with a guest list featuring many of Rap's VIPs.



Jay-Z, Eminem, Rick Ross, Young Jeezy, Bun B and Fabolous joined the Toronto rapper in his hometown for the show, which none of the concertgoers were likely to ever forget.

When Rick Ross proclaimed himself Big Meech, a famed criminal who is an actual friend of Young Jeezy, it was only a matter of time before Jeezy decided to take some shots at the larger than life rapper. His first salvo was entitled 'The Real B.M.F.' and contained an actual recorded take from the prison-ridden Meech over a new beat. Unfortunately, it didn't hold a candle to Ross' original, so now Jeezy has jumped on the Teflon Don's beat and thrown some pretty pointed disses towards Ross. 

The summer is gone. 2010’s summer was one of the most creative and epic music wise. We’ve seen Rick Ross and Young Jeezy almost create a civil war for Def Jam. 50 Cent finally joined Twitter and has nothing but nice things to say about the industry. That was a joke if you didn’t catch on. Gucci Mane released numerous tapes. The list can go on for days. 

Rick Ross has responded to the rumor that he is featured in a new sex tape. A clip of the tape, which was said to have been taken from footage shot before Ross rose to fame, appeared on rival 50 Cent's website early Thursday morning.



"Just saw the so called sex tape," Ross tweeted. "The n---- had a louie [Louis Vuitton] flag in back pocket but forgot the tattoes [sic] #fail."

Tensions between Rick Ross and Young Jeezy may be heating up once again as the "Boss" has responded to footage showing his Def Jam labelmate taunting him in Miami.

Speaking with radio personality Tim Westwood, Ross responded to Jeezy's video.

When MTV News caught up with the MC at Power 106 's Cali Christmas Friday night, the boss maintained he doesn't have any beef with the Recording Academy, and gave props to his peers who received nods.

Rare footage of rapper Eminem will be featured in a new documentary titled “The Untold Story of Detroit Hip-Hop,” which is nearing completion, according to the documentary’s director.

The documentary is being produced and directed by Brian “Champtown” Harmon, a fixture on the Detroit hip-hop scene, who helped or worked with several of the industry’s biggest stars in the early days of their careers, including Eminem, Proof, Insane Clown Posse, Kid Rock and others.

Young Jeezy made his way to MTV’s RapFix show earlier today and joined Sway to speak on his upcoming album “TM 103″. During their conversation, Jeezy opened up about his relationship and rumored beef with Rick Ross, explaining where things stand at this point. Young Jeezy feels that Rick Ross and himself should sit down and talk about their situation.

During Pill’s interview with TheBoomBox, he clears ups the rumors of being dropped from Rick Ross’ MMG label.



“I’m not sure how they started actually. I noticed it when people started f—ing with me on Twitter, but I don’t know the source of it. I mean, it is what it is. It’s mostly Twitter — people that follow me or don’t follow me that hate on me daily, and wanna start s—.”

Recently there have been rumours circulating the internet that Pill was dropped from MMG, but now Pill has opened up to MTV and he revealed that he couldn't be dropped from MMG because he was never actually signed to Rick Rozay's label.

Pill said the following on the matter:

“I never signed any paperwork with Ross. It was just my deal was over at Warner already.”

One of the most talked about tracks on Rick Ross’ Rich Forever mixtape has been “Stay Schemin” featuring French Montana and Drake, the latter of which dropped subliminal disses throughout his verse. During an interview with LA Leakers’ Justin Credible, French addressed Drizzy’s verse on the track, stating that while Driz wouldn’t even admit to who he addressed, listeners can connect the dots.

Rick Ross is bringing out the big guns.

Shortly after releasing his mixtape Rich Forever, Rick Ross has gone back to working on his fifth studio album God Forgives, I Don't. But now, Ross revealed on Twitter, he's recording with hitmaker Timbaland.

Recently,Timbo has produced for the likes of Lil Wayne, Drake, and T.I., but he has yet to record with Ross.

Despite the fact that the Rick Ross’ Rich Forever was undoubtably the most downloaded mixtape last week, many hip-hop fans have paid closer attention to the Drake verse that was seemingly directed at Chicago rapper Common on the French Montana assisted, “Stay Schemin’” track.

Although Drake didn’t say Common’s name, Common has already replied with a diss record over the same beat and has specifically called out Drake for his use of singing during his raps and the sensitive nature of some of his songs.

I just have to say that I have never really understood the hype about Rick Ross, but the hype was at an all time high after he dropped “Rich Forever.” “If he gives this to us on a mixtape, imagine 'God Forgives, I Don't'?!!?” But, it is true that “Rich Forever” was some huge ish. I mean, first of all, when it dropped at 3:05 pm, shit was crashing on the internet because of all the traffic.

Jessica Gomes, who was recently revealed to be the "Maybach Music" lady, has now spoken to Global Grind about how it came together. Turns out they recorded her voice spontaneously, she is not actually friends with Rick Ross, and she isn't getting paid for the drop. Read what she said below.

God Forgives, I Don't may be the name of Rick Ross' upcoming LP, but the Bawse isn't as coldhearted as his album title may suggest. When it comes to former Maybach Music affiliate Pill, Rozay wishes the Atlanta MC all the best.



"I'm a real dude and I'm a real boss and once you rep the MMG flag, I'll never step on your feet; Imma give you a pass anyway," Ross told MTV News correspondent Sway Calloway of Pill while at French Montana's "Shot Caller" remix video shoot in Miami on Sunday.
