Pivot Gang's Saba has bubbling for the past few years. The 23-year-old rapper has popped up on Chance the Rapper's Acid Rap and Coloring Book. While those appearances helped him garner more attention, his work ethic and talent have been the catalyst in his success. Over the past few years, he's been putting out some quality music as a solo artist and popping up alongside his Pivot Gang members tracks for some memorable features. Today, he comes through with his smooth new single "Where Ideas Sing," featuring Daoud.
Saba's "Where Ideas Sing" finds him revisiting his come up and how far he's come since then. From the open mics on Tuesday's that helped him build his on-stage charisma, to bumping Lupe Fiasco's Food & Liquor, the rapper vividly depicts his life prior to his success. However, that factor leads him to celebrate the new life and talent that breeds from the younger generation in Chicago. It's an inspiring joint that not only celebrates his own success but is meant to shed some hope for others who are chasing their dreams as well. Saba links up with multi-instrumentalist, Daoud, for the track. The two of them have previously worked together earlier this year on "There You Go."
The Chicago rapper dropped his new single exclusively on Apple Music. The teaming between the two led to the song's lyrics being on display through downtown Chicago in connection to the announcement of a new Apple Store opening on Michigan Avenue. He posted the pictures on Instagram saying "Woke up to my lyrics being displayed downtown."
You could that out below:
Our dreams came true premonition
Outside looking in like fencing
I see my city in a light that glistens
We on the move like auto tires auto pilot
No bull this Chicago fire
