There's no denying that since Rockie Fresh connected with MMG, his stock has soared and it's given him the boost he needed to reach a much wider fan base, outside of the Chicago area. Now, we presume that the rapper doesn't get to spend nearly as much time in his home town as he did, he's often out in Los Angeles, plus lately he's been busy touring with G-Eazy and Tory Lanez for the "These Things Happen" tour. We caught up with Rockie during some rare free time out in L.A. and spoke to the rapper about his Chicago roots, and he named his five favorite spots in Chi-town.

Rockie kicked off the list by naming the infamous Harold's Chicken Shack. "One, you gotta go to Harold's Chicken. Best fried chicken that you'll ever have," Rockie said. "You can get however many pieces of wings you want with mild sauce on them. You can get catfish with mild sauce on it. You can get chicken strips with mild sauce on it. You can get a pizza puff with mild sauce on it. You can get gizzards..." When our host Jen DeLeon asked what exactly gizzards are, Rockie responded, "It's like the inside of a chicken, right?"

"Number two...You gotta check out RSVP Gallery," the MMG rapper told us. "It's a store that I shop at. It's a very dope store."

Rockie continued, "Number three, it's another store, called Fat Tiger. It's on the North Side. It's a new store, my homies just opened it."

The 22-year old MC listed number four as Chicago's indoor Shedd Aquarium. "The aquarium. The aquarium is super dope in Chicago, so go check that out. It's a good place for you to go on a date with a nice little female friend and if you're a female, you can go on a date with a nice little male friend."

Finally, his number five spot to hit up when you visit Chicago, "Museum of Science & Industry, that's also dope too," Rockie said.

Rockie Fresh is currently up for a spot in the XXL Freshmen 2014 list (we're an official partner this year), alongside other MMG spitters like Gunplay and Tracy T. Do you think he should be on the list this year?
