Roc Marciano has released Rosebudd's Revenge, his long-awaited follow-up to his 2013 album Marci Beaucoup. The Long Island artist is nearly as nice with the MPC as he is with the pen; he self-produced approximately half of Rosebudd's Revenge, and nowhere he does he flex his production chops more gracefully than on the album's fourth track, "Better Know."
Marci's sample choices on "Better Know," coupled with his delivery, evokes a more relatable version of the sun-kissed luxury of Rick Ross' universe. He fosters an aesthetic that is smooth and self-assured, but he is simply too laid-back to ever equal Rozay's bombast.
