However, things have also been going well in his personal life as well. Earlier this year, the rapper filed documents to be legally recognized as the father of his son and giving his seed his last name. Now, the judge on the case has given the greenlight to Rich Homie Quan and his baby mama on the settlement of their custody deal.
Rich Homie Quan, real name Deqantes Lamar, and his baby mama Amber Williams have reached a settlement over the custody of their son, The Blast reports. A judge signed off on a consent order that legally considers RHQ as the father of his son, Royal Rich Williams. Additionally, Royal will also have his last name changed to Lamar.
RHQ and his girlfriend both have legal and physical joint custody of their son. No child support was awarded to Amber Williams since the couple are together and live in the same home in Georgia.
The rapper initially filed documents, with the consent of Amber Williams, to request legal and physical joint custody of his son. The rapper said that he wanted to make his relationship with his son more legitimate and also wanted to be legally recognized as Royal's son.
RHQ said Royal lived with Williams between 2014 and 2015. However, the two moved in together and have been living under the same roof in Georgia since then.
