R-Mean takes a trip to Detroit City for "Bout Time."

Week forty-eight of R-Mean's "Mean Mondays" series ultimately brought the Armenian-American rapper to a Royce Da 5'9" and Mr. Porter's "Heaven Studio" in Detroit, where he proceeded to connect with local artists. The two aforementioned Detroit icons, Royce and Denaun, have been working with Detroit talent in an effort to put some younger up-and-comers on game, and R-Mean decided to link up with one of their proteges - Young Roc. Together, Mean and Roc go in over some bouncy production that sounds cut from the same cloth as Black Milk or Mr. Porter, employing smooth synth riffs over steady and simplistic percussion.

R-Mean continues to prove himself a capable lyricist, a rapper's rapper who never fails to come through with some clever punchlines. On "Bout Time," he continues that trend, spitting bars like "bout time we gon' land this plane, thoughts travel while I'm baggin' bitches at the baggage claim." Be sure to check this one out, and stay tuned for the final weeks of "Mean Monday."

Quotable Lyrics

Bout time we gon' land this plane
Thoughts travel while I'm baggin' bitches at the baggage claim
Always on the move man I wonder how ya'll stay still
If the money ain't gon' motivate you than the hate will
