Last week, Playboi Carti released his much-awaited debut mixtape, thus launching Carti Season. The ATL rapper, who's taken the habit of previewing new song snippets every other week, was quick to drop another new sound in our collective lap Friday.
Carti and producer Pierre Bourne unveiled an untitled track on IG Live. Sitting in what looks like a living room, the artists puff on camera. Bourne wears pink bunny ears and shades. They remain almost completely silent, staring into the camera lens until the new track blares out the audio system. On the song, Carti can be heard spitting, "I'm a real rockstar."
His Pierre Bourne-produced "Magnolia" has garnered a lot of buzz since the mixtape's release last week. The track sits at number 9 on Soundcloud's Top 50 chart.
