Papoose is from "Grimy Ass New York."

In New York, it's a time-honored tradition to give each of the city's five boroughs a respective shout-out during hip-hop shows. We've also heard many NYC artists incorporate this practice into songs, as Lil Kim did on the chorus of her hit "Lighters Up" and Nicki Minaj did (albeit with other locations also listed) in the last verse of "Beez In The Trap." Papoose, ever the New Yorker, opens his latest track in similar fashion.

It's clearly not enough that this song is called "Grimy Ass New York," as he shows love to Brooklyn, Harlem and Queens within seconds.

Quotable Lyrics

How are you the king?
You a visitor, I live here
Go home, you burned your bridges
You gon' swim there
