It's been a minute since we premiered Ro Ransom's long-awaited mixtape Ro Ransom Is The Future. The rapper has actually been pretty silent since it dropped, but we decided to have him come up to the office for our latest instalment in On The Come Up.
Ro spoke to us about his origins, and he's pretty open about how he became a hip-hop fan. He doesn't brag or boast about being around since day 1, instead revealing he latched on to hip-hop through mainstream artists, starting with Eminem. He goes on to discuss the mixtape RRITF, as well as his sound as a whole, for which he has pretty lofty goals-- "my sound is like fucking. As good as you feel when you're fucking, that's how I want my music to sound."
We also touch on collaborations, label aspirations, and what else Ro has in store this year.
