Looks like Drizzy may have some new heat on the way.

It’s quite logical that A-List musicians and top of the line athletes have often found friends in each other, and the notion of these athletes getting a peak into new music before the rest of us common folk isn’t novice. The latest to allegedly enter this very sacred realm of sharing has been New York Giants’ safety Landon Collins who, while showing off his latest cop, shared a snippet of what sounds like some new music from Drake.

In the clip you can see a new pair of Adidas cleat that Collins is filming while Drake plays on in the background. We’re willing to bet, though, that the listen may have come by way of Odell Beckham Jr. rather than Collins directly, and that this clip might have just been simple case of leaking by association.

Nonetheless, the possibility of new Drake sounds is something to celebrate. As he predicted earlier this year, the Canadian rapper’s ‘summer seventeen’ as been rather quiet on the music side as he’s taken a break from the spotlight, but it's great to see that he's still been working in the background for the time being.

It was back in August that Drake’s record-breaking streak of eight years on the Billboard Hot 100 came to an end after “Passionfruit” and “Signs” fell off the rankings. It seems though that he isn’t planning to stay off the charts for too long if this new leak should prove to bear something of consequence.

As a new episode of OVO Sound Radio airs Saturday night, we'll be keeping an eye out for the full version.

As for Collins, he’s probably not thinking about it much as he’s currently prepping for the faceoff that the Giants have against the Philadelphia Egles on Sunday afternoon. They’ll be taking to the field with a record going 0-2 after a pretty underwhelming start to the NFL regular season. As Odell Beckham Jr. continues to recover from a lingering ankle injury and quarterback Eli Manning still struggles to find his stride, the match up should be an interesting one.
