Musiq Soulchild is one of those brilliant enigma's in hip hop and R&B. He's incredible at making hooks and has been involved with some of the most revered hip hop albums of the past decade if not more. While last year marked the first project he's released in over five years, it's hard to say that the solo music he does create isn't worth the wait. Despite it seeming rare at times. While many anticipate his upcoming project Feel The Real is expected to drop in the coming weeks and multiple singles being released throughout the year, the day can't come soon enough. However, with that being said, he dropped "Sooner Or Later" to hold us over until the album comes through.

"Sooner Or Later" is a smooth song that's to be expected from Musiq Soulchild. The song has a very funky vibe to it with the horns and the bass that'll definitely make you want to move. The song highlights not giving up on love and finding it in mysterious places, as it's usually found. Musiq Soulchild is definitely on with this song that'll get you bumping and grooving throughout the night. It goes through waves, with the first part of the song getting on a super upbeat funk vibe before the song gets a little slow than picks back up.

With Feel The Real on the way, following up his Life on Earth album, it's hopefully going to be as a good as this single and his previous album at that. Last month, he released the video for "Simple Things" and before that he dropped the single itself and another one "Start Over." Hopefully we get another one before the album drops.

Quotable Lyrics
But I aint got nobody,
And you ain't got nobody
And you say you over and done with love
You just need some to love you
