There has been a recent obsession over Manson.

Quentin Tarantino isn't the only person looking to explore the Charles Manson Murders. The famous director may be working on his latest film, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, but Netflix is also interested in taking a look into the infamous murders that made Manson famous. The series is based on the book Mindhunter: Inside the FBI's Elite Serial Crime Unit, and the show follows a budding FBI Behavioral Science Unit. The Feds question serial killers, hoping to dissect their psychology and apply the new knowledge to the field in an effort to prevent further murders.

After a successful first season, Netflix plans on bringing Mindhunter back. According to That Hashtag Show, the series is looking to cast someone in Manson's role, and also Tex Watson, who was the man that lead a murderous group of  Manson's followers. Together, Watson and his crew murdered Sharon Tate, Jay Sebring, Wojciech Frykowski, Abigail Folger, Gary Hinman, Leno & Rosemary La Biance, Steven Parent, and Donald Shea. While Manson himself never killed anyone, he orchestrated the entire plot. The deranged cult leader died in prison last year. The Son of Sam, David Berkowitz, is also rumored to be a focus for the second season of Mindhunter.
