The Vice President has tested negative for the coronavirus, despite coming in contact with a staffer who has tested positive.

“Vice President Pence will continue to follow the advice of the White House Medical Unit and is not in quarantine,” said spokesman Devin O’Malley. “Additionally, Vice President Pence has tested negative every single day and plans to be at the White House tomorrow.”

Pence tested negative for the virus, Saturday.

The Mike Pence news follows NIAID director, Dr. Anthony Fauci following similar precautions. Fauci also tested negative, but also made contact with a staffer who has tested positive for the coronavirus. A NIAID spokeswoman has said he is "considered to be at relatively low risk based on the degree of his exposure."

Fauci plans to work from home for the next two weeks, working under a "modified quarantine." He will still venture to his office if need be.

Robert Redfield, director of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and Stephen Hahn, commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration, are also quarantining after interacting with Pence’s press secretary.
