Michael Che rips into Donald Trump.

Donald Trump has frequently been the target of some blistering satire and social commentary from famed late-night sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live. From Alec Baldwin's well-known impersonation of the 45th President's over-the-top persona to the continual takedowns in their popular Weekend Update segment, the Donald has faced universal criticism from the show's writers and performers. However, last night's response to Trump's lack of action to aid those feelings the aftereffects of a devastating hurricane in Puerto Rico by Update anchor Michael Che may have been one of the most pointed assault's on Trump yet.

As per the video shared by TMZ, Che delivered what was a scathing mini-monologue during a portion of the fake news (sounds familiar?) segment Saturday (September 30th), calling him both a "bitch" and a "cheap cracker." "This isn't that complicated man. It's hurricane relief, these people need help. You just did this for white people twice," Che said. "Go tell Melania to put on her flood heels, get some bottled water, some food, pack up some extra Atlanta Falcons Super Bowl T-shirts and write them a cheque with our money, you cheap cracker," he added, an exclamation point on his rant that was met with thunderous applause and cheering from the studio audience. While some may have been concerned about the potential backlash to Che using what is wide considered a racially discriminatory term on live television, the response on Twitter showed that fans of the show weren't phased at all. In fact, as one user pointed out, it was exactly the type of the energy that the show's premiere episode needed.

The first SNL of the new fall season was hosted by Ryan Gosling and featured Jay-Z as the musical guest in what was another activist-minded public appearance by the veteran rapper. Donning a Colin Kaepernick jersey, Hov performed two tracks off his celebrated album 4:44, which put an emotional stamp on the sketch show's musical component. SNL is still coming down off the high that was their 42nd season (!), earning nine Emmy nominations and winning for outstanding variety sketch series, as well as for performances from Kate McKinnon, Melissa McCarthy, Dave Chappelle and Baldwin, as per The New York Times.
