If you're a loyal Wu-Tang fan, you'll know that "The Purple Tape" is the nickname of Raekwon's classic debut Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, which was distributed on an iconic purple cassette. It's also the title of a track on Method Man's most recent LP The Meth Lab, and conjures up the classic Wu sound from the LP, enlisting the help of both Raekwon himself and the Clan's most underrated member Inspectah Deck.
The track now has a video, which is filmed in black-and-white (with glints of purple of course) and finds the Wu rappers mobbing with each other and bringing back some great memories.
