MC Ren is well known for his role in seminal west coast gangsta rap group NWA, who if you're not familiar with (and you should be) was made up of Ice Cube, Eazy-E, Dr. Dre, DJ Yella, Arabian Prince, and of course Ren himself.
The Compton rapper released 3 solo records in the 90s, but slowed down steadily in the following decade, though he did manage to release Renincarted in 2009.
He's now back with a new single called "Rebel Music", which will live on a new album of the same name-- due out later this year.
