Marilyn Manson talks the Biebs and his recent on-stage injury.
Marilyn Manson is a rock legend who has a history of hating on pop heartthrob Justin Bieber. Back in September, in an interview with Consequence of Sound, Manson didn't mince his words when asked about meeting the Biebs after the young superstar co-opted the rocker's likeness with a joint T-shirt venture (which Manson disputed signing off on at the time). "He was [already] wearing the shirt that had his name on my shirt, and he said to me, 'I made you relevant again,'" Manson detailed. "Bad mistake to say to me." Apparently, Bieber's overall demeanor at the time was questionable as well. "He was a real piece of s**t in the way he had the arrogance to say that," Manson added. "He was a real touchy-feely guy, too, like, 'yo yo bro!' and touches you when he's talking. I'm like, you need to stand down [...]" More recently, Manson continued to pile on the Canadian-born singer during a radio interview that touched not only on the Bieber feud, but also on his recent injury during a New York City concert.
Concerning Justin, Marilyn Manson told host Cindy Scull that he won't fight the pop star because, well, it might be a little on the unfair side."The guy doesn't wear a shirt," he said. "I don't know, exactly. But, um, no. I don't like to fight with girls, so I don't wanna fight Justin Bieber." Later on in the conversation, Manson said he couldn't predict what Bieber will do or say next because their minds are not operating on the same level. "I don't know, because I don't know how to use the mind of a squirrel, so I'm not really sure exactly what he's thinking," Manson added. He also said that he appreciated the host's attempt to help him protect the integrity of rock music as a whole.
As far as his injury goes, Manson doesn't think his already-scheduled European shows will be affected by his recovery time. In truth, he said that he wants to be back out there as soon as possible, since he misses being on stage and performing for his fans.
