Lonzo Ball has teamed up with DoughBoy G and Starside for an anti-police brutality song.

George Floyd's murder at the hands of police is still extremely hard to imagine despite seeing it before our very eyes. Police brutality is being protested all across the country right now and people want to take a stand for what is right. It is going to take a massive effort to see about real systemic change and with all four officers involved in Floyd's murder being arrested, it's clear that some positive changes are on the way.

New Orleans Pelicans star Lonzo Ball has been using his voice to stand up against police brutality and now, he is protesting in the form of a song. Zo's new song is called "Don't Shoot Me" and features the likes of DoughBoy G and Starside.

Per Zo:

"Don’t shoot me (Don’t shoot me)
Officer, don’t shoot me (Don’t shoot me)
I promise I got a family (A baby girl)
And stay up off my neck please (I cannot breathe)
Don’t shoot me (Don’t shoot me)
Officer, don’t shoot me (Officer)
I promise I got a family (I got a baby girl)
And stay up off my neck please (I cannot breathe)"

Based on the lyrics, it is pretty obvious that Lonzo is speaking on the horrors of police brutality and how black people are constantly fearing for their lives when interacting with the cops. It's cool to see young NBA players speaking up and perhaps it will inspire others to do the same.
