Here goes a new collaboration between rock group Linkin Park and veteran rapper Rakim-- probably not something you were expecting to see today. Linkin Park do have a history of rap collaborations, just this past year we heard them with Pusha T on "I'll Be Gone (Remix)" and then again with Bun B on "Roads Untravelled (Remix)", both tracks were for Linkin Park's remix album Recharged. Plus, the group infamously collaborated with Jay Z for an entire album.

This track will serve as an official single off the group's forthcoming untitled album, and is straight-up rock music. Rakim provides his verse at the 3:39 mark.

Mike Shinoda said of the collabo to CBS, "The reason we went with this single first is that we think it’s a good look into the DNA of the record that we’re putting out this summer. (Rakim)That’s like one of my idols. If you get into the nitty-gritty of his rhyme pattern and the topic in this song, it’s bananas what he is doing. He’s on the some Steve Vai shit vocally."

Quotable Lyrics
And record companies kill me
Try to force me to be straight and obey
And got the gall to say how real can real be?
You feel me? We'll see
The greed can be to blame
Greedy for the fame, TV or a name
Media to gain, to me you're all the same
You're guilty
