Earlier today, reports of Dessa Engineers' artificial intelligence advancements began to surface. Through their technological advances, the engineers behind Dessa managed to string together a startlingly accurate rendition of Joe Rogan's voice, having him speak about outlandish scenarios like an "all-chimp hockey team," fueled by a "strict diet of bone broth and elk milk." Though aural subtleties reveal the true technological nature behind the voice, the end result is still disturbingly near the real thing. Despite Dessa prefacing that they don't claim to endorse the viewpoints of Joe Rogan, it doesn't appear that Joe ever consented to be used as a guinea pig to the experiment in the first place.

Following the circulation of the recording (which can be seen below) Rogan took to Instagram to reflect on the surreal nature of this new technology. While it's unclear where he stands, it seems like he's not entirely feeling the way his words were manipulated, given some of his chosen verbiage. "I just listened to an AI generated audio recording of me talking about chimp hockey teams and it’s terrifyingly accurate," he writes. "At this point I’ve long ago left enough content out there that they could basically have me saying anything they want, so my position is to shrug my shoulders and shake my head in awe, and just accept it."

He proceeds to sign off with an ominous message. "The future is gonna be really fucking weird, kids."
