J Cole is having a great week. He had an epic concert in Fayetteville over the weekend, giving the hometown crowd a night to remember by bringing out Jay-Z, Big Sean, & Drake. Even better news -- "2014 Forest Hills Drive" has now gone platinum, passing the 1,000,000-sales mark in the United States nine months after it was released.
According to Hip Hop n More, the album finally got to the magic number this week with 7,733 reported sales-plus-streaming units moved.
It all happened as he prophesied on 2009 track "Serenade." "See, I travelled outta state and I ain’t know a soul, Told my mama I'd be back when I had a million sold." Congrats to J Cole!
