Odd Future was a very unified force when they first hit the scene, but the collective has become increasingly disjointed in subsequent years. Hodgy Beats and Left Brain, who make up the duo Mellowhype, are and act that seems to have actively dodged the spotlight recently.
The duo put out the free project, INSA (I Need Some Answers) earlier this year, and while Hodgy is still the primary vocalist in the group, he's decided to do a solo venture next.
Following up his pre-fame mixtape The Dena Tape, Hodgy has announced that Dena Tape 2 will be released February 2nd. No word on whether he will take a similar approach to the first installment by rapping over popular instrumentals or not.
