Gucci Mane & Migos flex in "I Get The Bag" video.
Gucci Mane and Migos' are proven hit-makers. While the Gucci-assisted "Slippery" has recently gone platinum, it's a certified single that made it's imprint as one of summer 2017's defining songs. Even as far back as 2014, they put out World War 3D: The Green Album which was a collaborative effort between the up-and-coming Migos and Gucci Mane. So it's safe to say that when both the ATL trio and the Trap God team up for something, it's bound to be nothing short of excellent.
With Mr. Davis being freshly announced this morning and the first single "I Get The Bag" featuring Migos available on online streaming services, Gucci Mane drops the visuals for the song and it is absolute fire.
The video for "I Get The Bag" has Migos' and Gucci Mane in a remote mansion, flexing as they usually do. The video predominantly takes place within the mansion and in the pool. It has some similarities to their previously released "Slippery" video.
"I Get The Bag" has Gucci Mane and Migos' flexing around some beautiful women as they count money and pour up liquor. While it's a pretty basic concept, the visuals for it get the point of the song across. Although Offset isn't present on the song or the video, both Quavo and Takeoff hold down the fort for the absent member.
Migos' have been able to dictate the direction in which trap music is often defined over the course of the past few years, while Gucci Mane has overlooked the genre, the culture and Atlanta for a very long time. While the Migos' are a younger generation of trappers, Gucci's influence has been able to transcend generations of hip hop.
With Mr. Davis' around the corner, it'll be his second album of 2017 and if "I Get The Bag" is a fair representation of what's to come, it'll definitely be fire.
