BMI hosted its annual R&B/Hip-Hop Awards event this Thursday at Atlanta's Woodruff Arts Center’s Symphony Hall. Metro Boomin was crowned producer of the year for the second consecutive year while Future, DJ Khaled, and Rihanna shared honors for songwriter of the year. G-Eazy's "Me, Myself, & I" took home song of the year.
The night included performances from Big Boi, Rick Ross, and Jacquees and concluded with a tribute to Patti LaBelle, who was present to receive this year's BMI Icon Award.
