Someone dropped $200K on the self-lacing Nike Mags.

A Nike Mag sold for over $200,000 at auction in New York City over the weekend, adding to the $6.75 million raised for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research during the Nike Mag raffle.

The NYC auction took place at the Michael J. Fox Gala and the astounding $200K (the most ever spent on a Nike Mag to date) will benefit Parkinson's research just like all of the other money that was donated during the Nike+ raffle.

Nike had previously auctioned off two separate pairs of the self-lacing Back To The Future shoes in Shanghai and London but the NYC event generated more money that the two other cities combined. The first live auction in Shanghai pulled in $104,000 and an additional $56,000 was raised in London.
