Despite what the same suggests, indie-pop is becoming more and more mainstream, and therefore more and more crowded. Artists need to make sure to stand out from the pack if they want to be noticed.
Elley Duhé appears to be one of those artists. While she's yet to drop a debut album, she's already been getting buzz on her released singles, and this new one, "Lost My Mind," appears to be no different.
Right off the bat, the beat is what stands out the most about this song. The production starts and stops at a uncomfortable pace, keeping the listener off-balance throughout. It really adds to the theme of instability that the song is going for.
On Elley's part, her voice seems to have a certain "Lorde-like" quality a lot of singers are going for nowadays. It's fine when it works, and Elley appears to have good control over her voice.
