Dr. Dre and Ice Cube will not be held accountable for the death of Terry Carter.

Dr. Dre and Ice Cube have been cleared in the wrongful death lawsuit filed against them by the family of Terry Carter, a man killed when Suge Knight ran him over with his car in January of 2015

According to TMZ, the suit alleged that Dre and Cube had hired known gang members to stop Knight from approaching shooting locations for their film Straight Outta Compton, which was being filmed at the time. The legal documents claimed that this hired security is what sent him into the rage that contributed to him hitting Carter with his car and fleeing the scene.

A court has decided that the former N.W.A. members can not be held accountable for Suge's action in this case. However, the suit will still apply to Suge, who is pending trial for murder over the incident.
