Ever since the University of Michigan's football and basketball programs became Jordan Brand sponsored teams, we've seen plenty of maize and blue Air Jordan PEs, including a special pair of "Wolverines" Air Jordan 5s that Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh gave to Pope Francis last week in Rome.

In addition to that blue pair of 5s, Jordan Brand has also distributed select pairs of this yellow Air Jordan 5 which serves as a nod to former Wolverines Chris Webber, Jalen Rose, Juwan Howard, Ray Jackson and Jimmy King aka "The Fab 5."

The yellow Michigan-inspired upper is offset by hits of black throughout, a tribute to the black socks that the Fab 5 wore, as well as a black "Fab 5" logo on the heel. Additionally, Michigan's mantra, "Hail To The Victors" is stamped on the inside of the black 3M tongue which features UM's block M logo on the front.

Check out some of the early images below, courtesy of DJ Khaled and Mark Wahlberg.
