Dawn Richard talks about her new project, "Blackheart", and the Danity Kane breakup on "The Breakfast Club".
Dawn Richard just released her excellent new album, "Blackheart", which sees her getting into the most experimental territory she's been yet. It comes shortly after a reunion and subsequent fallout with her original girl group Danity Kane, which resulted in a rushed album, but thankfully ended with Richard jumping right back into her solo career.
Stopping by The Breakfast Club today, Dawn details the tension in her former group, revealing that the group members were lying to her, and secretly re-recording her vocals.
She later defends the (classic) Diddy-Dirty Money album, and talks about her studio approach for the new record.
