An evergreen sentence: Curren$y has a new project on the horizon. The New Orleans rapper is getting ready to drop Fire In The Clouds mixtape, his 5th of 2017, but first he's released the video for the Drupey Beats-produced "Targa," which is set to appear on the project. At this point, the rapper is one of the most reliable artists working, and the track continues to build his insular world of smokey rap tunes, feeling instantly familiar without getting tired. The video finds him spending time with his two favorite things -- a joint and a German-engineered two-seater.
Recently, Curren$y gave fans the chance to design the artwork for the project. According to him it will feature 8 to 10 new tracks. It's set for an August 15th release, which means it will be coming the same day as Young Thug's long-awaited Slime Language project. A good day for new music to say the least. It has not been confirmed, but it appears Drupey Beats may have produced all the tracks on the upcoming project, of which a few have already been released.
