Allow us to introduce CRASHprez, an emerging poet and emcee who divides his time between Fort Washington, Maryland and Madison, Wisconsin. He also happens to be a journalism student, currently attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison on a scholarship from their First Wave Urban Arts program.
"Thom Yorke Is Black" is his latest release, produced by Milwaukee/Madison, Wisconsin producer *hitmayng. For those unaware, Thom Yorke is Radiohead's frontman - if you're not at least peripherally aware of the band at this point, that's just sad, and we recommend doing your homework.
This is the first single from CRASH's upcoming project More Perfect, which is slated to drop this summer via the independent CATCH WRECK imprint. Unsurprisingly, the track is rife with Radiohead references, the instrumental having been at least partially inspired by "Videotape," the closing track from their 2007 album In Rainbows, an in-studio performance of which you can watch below. It's also a testament to Chocolate Genius.
