Following in the footsteps of fellow veteran rapper Flavor Flav, Coolio is in trouble with the law for assaulting his girlfriend. The rapper allegedly pushed his girlfriend to the ground, and then punched her in the face, when he brought another woman home.
TMZ reports what went down, saying that, for whatever reason, Coolio thought it would be okay to bring another woman home. An altercation ensued, and apparently Coolio did not only punch his girl, Anabella Chatman, but when he made his hasty retreat after he also struck her leg with his car, and she has the tire marks to prove it.
According to the police report, after punching Anabella, Coolio fled the scene, taking their toddler son with him as well as the other woman. Coolio tried to convince the cops that he was the victim in this case, saying that she scratched him in a "jealous rage" however the police weren't buying it, so they took him in.

Coolio dodged a big case and a possible jail sentence today. As we reported back in April, Coolio's girlfriend alleged that the rapper had punched her in the face and hit her with his car when, for whatever reason, he brought home another girl.
The judge dismissed the case today because prosecutors in Las Vegas say they couldn't prove the girlfriend's story beyond a reasonable doubt.
Prosecutors say that part of the problem was the fact that the lady kept changing her story.
