"No Angel" singer Charli XCX told fans back in January that she intends to release an album at some point this year. Her latest album, Sucker was released on December 2014, with her mixtape Pop 2 having been released three years after, in December 2017.

Charli took to Instagram a couple of hours ago to ask fans' opinions on, as well as to confirm, a collaboration with "Truth Hurts" artist Lizzo. "IMAGINE IF I MADE A SONG WITH @LIZZOBEEATING AKA THE QUEEN OF EVERYTHING - WOULD U DIE???" she wrote, before verifying this notion with, "PREP MY GRAVE ASAP WE GOT A BOP COMING THIS WEEK. SPAM ME WITH LOVEEEEE ANGELS!!!! πŸ’—πŸ’•πŸ’πŸ’“πŸ’–β€οΈπŸ’˜"

The track, which we haven't yet received an official title for, will be Charli’s first new solo material since October, when she released her stand-alone collaborative single with Troye Sivan, "1999." She also featured on Clean Bandit and Bhad Bhabie's single "Playboy Style"  late last year, as well as dropping a video for her single "5 In The Morning" late June of last year.

Lizzo, on the other hand, dropped her third solo album Cuz I Love You last month, and has been seeing a steadily growing fan base since she absolutely killed her 2019 Coachella performance, despite facing ongoing audio issues throughout the entire weekend.

Are you guys excited for the drop of the collab later this week?
