Adult Swim is rolling out 25 tracks in 25 weeks for their 2016 Singles Program. This week they release a track from Captain Murphy called "Crowned."
Captain Murphy's alter ego Flying Lotus has had extensive collaborations Adult Swim over the course of his career. "Crowned" begins with some hot bassoon/oboe/double reed action. It is gothic and experimental, evoking the chaos of cars and semi-trucks swerving in a rainstorm. It fits nicely with the mood set by previously released 2016 Adult Swim singles by Earl Sweatshirt, Vince Staples, & Run the Jewels.
