After a shining turn on Royce Da 5'9's Book Of Ryan single "Dumb," Shady Records rapper Boogie has come through with another single. This time, he's opting to keep things short and sweet, as "Deja Vu" clocks in at a meagre 1:45. Still, the brevity works in his favour, as Boogie wastes little time in setting an intimate tone. Taking to acoustic guitars and lush basslines, the rapper paints a picture of a fractured relationship, covering tried and true themes of "thug luv" throughout.

"Heard your baby daddy a has been," says Boogie, "why the fuck you keep going back then?" The track finds the rapper coming through with a more melodic approach, and while his chops are hardly soaring, they rest comfortably over the smooth instrumental. One has to wonder what a Shady Records album might sound like, especially given the versatility he's been putting on display.

Quotable Lyrics

Why the fuck you keep going back then?
