Billie Eilish fans were recently treated to the release of the music video for her tender single, "when the party's over."
The song, written and produced in collaboration with Billie's brother FINNEAS, sees Billie seeking space from a lover. "Don't you know too much already?" she sings. In an interview, she described the song as taking an angry tone rather than a sad one explaining, "It’s not really, “I’m sad,” you know what I mean? So “When The Party’s Over,” I feel like that’s such a sentence. It’s like, “I’ll call you when the party’s over,” you’re on the phone with someone […] and you’re just like, “You know what? Fucking leave me alone.”
The visuals for the song are on par with everything one would expect from Billie: moving and artful.
