New heat from Amir Obe: "One Night Thing."

In the past few months, Detroit rapper Amir Obe has dropped off two EPs, December's Happening in the Grey Area and Won't Find Love in the Hills, released this past week. The latter EP is just three tracks, including the previously released "Before the Vomit," which will likely soon become Obe's biggest hit, but the other two are not to be slept on, especially "One Night Thing."

"One Night Thing" is a relatively energized cut for Obe, though it still retains his signature woozy darkness. Guys like Drake and The Weeknd have moved down to The Hills and explored the area's strange brand of romance, and Obe has concluded that it's not a place to search for love. Still, it's amazing how much strange emotion can go into a "One Night Thing," and Obe does a fine job in relaying the fleeting madness of such a scenario.

Quotable Lyrics

Pretty women, singing trap songs
Put these bitches, in my sad songs
Yeah I knew it, wouldn't last long
Never last long, no, no, no
