Alkaline & Black Shadow deliver their 420 anthem "Eva High."

Alkaline is a wily character, one that is terribly hard to box in. When it suits him, Alkaline restrains from his gully side, pretty when he'd left unprovoked. It would seem, Alkaline current form screams medium exertion, coinciding with the modernization of the "Lovers Rock" tradition. On "Eva High," Alkaline shares equal billing with Black Shadow for a bouncy 420 anthem produced by Troyton Rami Music.

While Alkaline "fans" have gotten into the habit of nitpicking the pronunciation of his every word, "Eva High" steers clear of any wrongful convictions, even though the cross is not his to bear. Competition for spots atop the Dancehall pyramid is limited by the breadth of Jamaica's economic bubble. Alkaline & Black Shadow were last spotted crafting music two months ago, with the release of "Black Heart," made available via SoundCloud.

Earlier today, Kranium debuted "Just The Style" featuring Alkaline on streaming services, similar in vein to "Eva High" in its mixture of songwriting elements. By doubling down on the first of March, Alkaline is ensuring that his JACAP royalties arrive in a thick envelope. Shoutout to the Jamaica Post, for keeping things rocksteady since going into service in the year 2000.

Quotable Lyrics:

Black Shadow how we cope, chop it up laugh and joke
Go through tribulations but we never lose hope
No in a life it no clean fi make the most
Find your happiness and live it up like you're suppose
Weed a the remedy give me another dose.
