Last month Jordan Brand released a special edition "Tinker Hatfield" Air Jordan 3 NRG, a sneaker which draws on inspiration from Hatfield's original Air Jordan 3 sketches. The kicks were a limited release at the time, but they're set to return in much larger quantities on Hatfield's birthday, April 30.
The "Tinker Hatfield" Air Jordan 3 features the familiar "Fire Red" colorway that was seen on the original Air Jordan 3 but there are a number of modifications, most notably, the black Nike swoosh across the upper. Additionally, the "Tinker" 3s feature light grey mudguards, black upper midsoles, grey “NIKE” text stitched on the medial side, and Tinker's unmistakable signature on the inside of the tongue.
According to Footaction's release locator, the sneakers, retailing for $200, will be much more available this time around, though it's unclear exactly how many pairs will release. Other Nike and Jordan Brand retailers and boutiques will also have the kicks in stock.
