It's hard to believe that last week marked the 18th anniversary of Eazy-E's untimely death. The late rapper is remembered often for his influence, but not much is known about his death, which was reported simply to be due to "complications from AIDS" only a month after diagnosis. E's daughter, E.B. Wright, has announced plans to work on a documentary around the NWA emcee's life, and reveal more information about his death.
"A lot of people don't know the truth behind his death," said Wright. "There's definitely a story out there of how people think he died but a lot of it is a misconception, so I think it's time to tell the story of exactly what happened."
The doc will be titled "A Ruthless Scandal", and will serve as a way for Wright to make sense of her father's life. "I'm going to have interviews with everyone," she explained. "His former [NWA] group members, business associates, friends, doctors, lawyers, court papers will all be in there. Everything that was involved [in his death] is going to be a part of the documentary."
There is still no official release date for the documentary, but it is planned to debut in 2014.
