Kevin Hart's increased daddy duties are just around the corner, according to a TMZ report that says his wife, Eniko Parrish, has gone in labor.
The actor/comedian was supposedly about to begin a phone interview with some of the on-air personalities over at Power 95.3 in Orlando, Florida, when he abruptly bailed on those plans upon hearing the news. There's no specific time stamp on any of these events, both his wife's water breaking or when Hart received the update from his manager, but it was early enough to nix the interview prior to its scheduled start time. This will be Hart and Parrish's first child together.
Kevin Hart and Eniko Parrish revealed the name and gender of the child during a lavish baby shower that was attended by family members and close friends, many of whom were also celebrities. On its own, the shower came with the reported price tag of $118,000, after being held at the Calamigos Beach Club in Malibu, California. The event featured a Lion King theme and let their guests (and the world, after the fact) know that they would be having a son and the name they picked out for him was Kenzo. The significance of that name to the couple was not specified at the time.
The shower also took place during a tumultuous time for the couple, following the allegations that Hart cheated on his wife with a travelling stripper named Montia Sabbag during a wild party weekend in Las Vegas. The comedian claimed that the rumors of his infidelity weren't true and that he was part of an extortion plot, but that didn't necessarily jibe with the long apology video, where he directly addressed his family members, that he uploaded to his Instagram page. The woman who was supposedly the object of Hart's extramarital affections is on the record as saying that she wasn't the one trying to extort him, and that she was fully cooperating with authorities in the investigation.
Scandal aside, this is an exciting time for Hart and Eniko. Congrats to the couple on their soon-to-be-born son!
